RepSmith is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. The app stores everything locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how RepSmith ("the app", "we", "our") handles your information. RepSmith is an Android fitness tracking application developed and operated as an independent project.

By using RepSmith you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data we collect

RepSmith does not collect any personal data. All information you enter into the app — including workout logs, exercises, routines, body measurements, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database.

We do not have access to this data. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

3. Data stored on your device

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

Workout history — exercises, sets, reps, weight, duration
Custom exercises and categories
Routines and predefined sets
Body tracker measurements
Personal records and goals
Protocol and supplement logs (if used)
App settings and preferences

This data is accessible only to you and to other apps on your device that you explicitly grant permission to (for example, a file manager if you access exported CSV files).

4. Exports and backups

RepSmith allows you to export your data as CSV files and, if you enable it, back up to your personal Google Drive account.

CSV export — files are saved to your device storage and shared via Android's standard share sheet. RepSmith does not retain a copy.
Google Drive backup — if enabled, your data is backed up to your own Google Drive account using your credentials. RepSmith does not have access to your Google account or any data stored there.

You are solely responsible for the security of any exported or backed-up data.

5. In-app purchases

RepSmith offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock advanced features. All payments are processed exclusively through the Google Play Store. RepSmith does not collect, process, or store any payment information. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how payment data is handled.

6. Permissions

RepSmith requests only the permissions necessary for its features to function:

Storage / Files — to save CSV exports to your device
Notifications — to display rest timer countdowns
Foreground Service — to keep the rest timer running when the screen is off
Read Media Images — to let you pick progress photos from your gallery (Body Tracker feature only)

No permission is used for any purpose beyond what is described above.

7. Third-party services

RepSmith does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app contains no ads and does not use any advertising SDKs.

The only optional third-party integration is Google Drive backup, which uses Google's own APIs and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Children's privacy

RepSmith is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. As the app does not collect any personal data from any users, no special handling is required.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
